“tx th nxthng” - is a music album that explores the possibilities of contemporary sound design. The aim of the project is to create musical compositions using as little source material as possible — from a single waveform to a one-second sample.
In contrast to algorithmic approaches to AI-generated music, the focus of this project lies in crafting compositions manually, utilizing classical sound design techniques. Particular attention is given to working with minimal audio material, often resembling pure noise, and exploring its potential to form expressive sonic environments that still exhibit structure, harmony, melody, and genre-specific characteristics.
This method explores approaches to creating soundscapes that can later be used for generative music.
